Ross Art Museum Pollinator Habitat
Project type
Pollinator habitat installation
Date
April 18, 2026
Location
Delaware, Ohio
On April 18, 2026, volunteers planted a pollinator garden in front of Ohio Wesleyan's Ross Art Museum. This is the first of what promises to be many plantings on the Ohio Wesleyan campus over the next year—and beyond! NCOPP put in a proposal to create a “Pocket Pollinator Pathway” across campus this past January and got the go-ahead to begin those, with some funding created by two OWU interns who worked on the project all spring semester. Early last spring, NCOPP met with the OWU facilities director to determine “likely spaces” for promoting native plants. NCOPP enlisted horticulture designer Amy Dutt of Scioto Gardens for the design and plants were purchased via an OWU “Theory Into Practice” grant.
