Hayes High School Outdoor Education Lab Fall Work Day

RSVP's not necessary. Open house style event. Come between 1 -4 pm to see the progress at the Outdoor Learning Lab to include new recycled benches and green house! Help plant an expansion zone to the existing one year-old prairie. Several vendors will be on site selling native plants to plant in your own spaces. See plans for future expansions at the site courtesy of a $21,500 grant. Students from the current environmental classes will be participating in raking the new limestone paths, planting saplings, expanding prairie habitat, removing invasives along the fencerow and participating in a short Bioblitz. Visitors are welcome to help in all the activities of the day.
